Every way you can pay at checkout

Mason Park accepts the major cards, digital wallets, and Shopify-native payment options listed below. Every method is offered directly inside our secure Shopify checkout — you are never redirected to an unfamiliar third-party site to complete a purchase, except where a wallet provider (such as PayPal) requires its own authentication step.

Availability of a given card network or wallet can depend on your bank, your device, and your shipping destination. If a method above does not appear at your checkout, it is not currently supported for your card type or region rather than a fault on your end. We do not currently offer buy-now-pay-later, layaway, or installment financing services; if that changes, this page will be updated before the option appears at checkout.

How your payment is handled

From checkout to confirmation

01

You enter payment details

Card, wallet, or Shop Pay details are entered directly into Shopify's checkout, served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We never see or handle your raw card number.

02

Your issuer authorizes the charge

Your card network or bank confirms the funds are available and, where required (notably for UK and EU cards), completes a Strong Customer Authentication step.

03

The order is charged in full

Once authorization succeeds, your payment method is charged the full order total — item price, shipping, and any tax calculated at checkout — at the time the order is placed.

04

You receive confirmation

An order confirmation email with an itemized receipt is sent immediately. A separate shipping confirmation with tracking follows once your order leaves our fulfillment partner.

Why we charge at the time of order, not at shipment

Charging in full when an order is placed lets us lock in your price, reserve stock immediately, and begin processing without a second authorization step that can fail or expire. If an item you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you by email and either offer a substitute, a delayed shipment, or a full refund to your original payment method — we will never leave a charge in place for an item we cannot fulfill.

Currency & pricing

What the number at checkout actually means

All prices are in US dollars

Every price shown on mason-park.com, including the amount charged at checkout, is listed in United States dollars (USD). This is the currency in which your card or wallet issuer will process the transaction.

Conversion for international cards

If your card or wallet is issued outside the United States, your bank or card network converts the USD charge into your local currency using its own exchange rate at the time of the transaction. Mason Park does not set or control this rate.

Foreign transaction fees

Some card issuers charge a foreign transaction or currency conversion fee on purchases made in a currency other than your card's home currency. Any such fee is set by your bank, not by Mason Park, and will appear separately on your statement.

The total charged at checkout is the sum of the item price(s), the shipping method you select, and any sales tax calculated for your shipping address. No payment surcharge, card-processing fee, or checkout fee is added on top of this total by Mason Park. For orders shipped outside the United States, import duties and customs fees are assessed separately by the destination country and are not included in the checkout total — see the International Orders section below.

Sales tax

How and where sales tax is collected

U.S. sales tax

Mason Park (Black Scape LLC) is headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, a state that does not impose a general sales tax. We collect sales tax on orders shipped to states where we have established economic or physical nexus under that state's law. Tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address and the applicable state, county, and local rates in effect at the time of your order — the amount shown at checkout is the amount charged, with no separate tax invoice needed.

Tax-exempt purchases

If your organization holds valid sales-tax-exempt status, contact support@mason-park.com before placing your order with your exemption documentation. Tax cannot be refunded retroactively on an order that has already been placed and shipped.

Security & fraud prevention

How your payment information is protected

End-to-end encryption

Checkout runs over an SSL/TLS-encrypted connection with 256-bit encryption, so your card and personal details cannot be read in transit between your device and our payment processor.

PCI-DSS-compliant processing

All card transactions are handled by Shopify Payments and its underlying PCI-DSS Level 1-certified payment gateways — the highest tier of card industry data-security certification.

We never store full card numbers

Mason Park does not store your complete card number, CVV, or expiry date on our own servers at any point. Card data is tokenized by our payment processor for any future reference.

Automated fraud screening

Orders are screened for signs of card fraud, including address and CVV verification. Orders flagged as high-risk may be held for manual review or require additional verification before shipping.

Strong Customer Authentication (SCA / 3-D Secure)

Customers paying with a card issued in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area may be asked by their bank to complete an additional verification step during checkout — such as a one-time passcode or biometric confirmation — in compliance with PSD2 and UK Strong Customer Authentication requirements. This step is carried out by your bank, not by Mason Park, and is a standard part of paying online in those regions.

Declined & failed payments

If your payment doesn't go through

Common reasons a payment is declined

Insufficient funds or available credit, an expired or mistyped card number, a billing address that does not match your bank's records, a bank's own fraud filter, or a temporary block your bank places on international or online transactions are the most common causes. Mason Park does not receive a specific reason code from your bank — only a decline.

What happens when a payment fails

If a payment is declined, no charge is made and your order is not placed. You are shown an on-screen message and can correct the details or try an alternative payment method immediately at checkout. If your bank shows a temporary authorization hold from a failed attempt, it is released automatically by your bank, typically within a few business days, and Mason Park has no ability to expedite this.

Refunds, reversals & disputes

How money moves back to you

Refunds to the original payment method

Approved refunds are always returned to the original payment method used for the order — we do not issue cash, check, or store-credit refunds in place of a card or wallet refund unless required by law. Full eligibility and timelines are set out in our Return & Refund Policy.

Bank processing time

Once we issue a refund, it typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days, though the exact timing depends on your card issuer or bank and is outside our control after the refund is sent.

Chargebacks & payment disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, please contact support@mason-park.com first — most issues are resolved faster this way than through a bank dispute. If a chargeback is filed, we respond with order, shipping, and communication records as evidence, as required by our payment processor.

International orders

Paying from outside the United States

Mason Park ships internationally, and the payment methods above are generally available regardless of your shipping destination, subject to your card issuer's own rules.

Customs, duties & import taxes

For orders shipped outside the United States, the recipient is the importer of record. Any customs duties, import VAT/GST, or brokerage fees charged by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected separately from Mason Park's checkout charge, typically by the courier or customs authority on or before delivery.

Cross-border card fees

Because Mason Park bills in USD from the United States, some banks classify these as international transactions and may apply their own cross-border or foreign-exchange fee, separate from anything charged by Mason Park. Check with your card issuer if you are unsure whether this applies to your account.

Country & state-specific protections

Payment-related rights that apply to your order

Because Mason Park ships worldwide, the framework governing your payment can vary by where you live. Nothing on this page limits any right the law grants you; where a term here conflicts with a right you are entitled to, the law prevails.

01

United States — billing & card protections

Credit card payments are covered by the Fair Credit Billing Act, which gives you the right to dispute billing errors directly with your card issuer. Orders are also subject to the FTC's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, which requires that we ship within the timeframe stated at checkout or notify you of a delay and offer a refund. Debit card transactions may additionally be covered by your bank's own protections under Regulation E.

02

State sales tax & consumer-privacy laws

Sales tax is collected only in states where Mason Park has a legal nexus obligation, calculated at the applicable state and local rate at checkout. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with consumer-privacy statutes have rights over how payment-related personal information is used; see our Privacy Policy for how to exercise them.

03

United Kingdom & European Union

Card payments from UK and EEA-issued cards are subject to Strong Customer Authentication under PSD2 and the UK's equivalent regime. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) and the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, you are entitled to a refund to your original payment method if you exercise a statutory withdrawal right, and that refund must generally be issued within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods or evidence of return.

04

Canada

Canadian cardholders are protected by their card network's own zero-liability policies for unauthorized transactions, and personal information collected during payment is handled in line with the principles of PIPEDA. Mason Park does not currently collect Canadian provincial sales tax, as we do not maintain nexus in Canada; any applicable import duties or GST/HST are assessed by Canadian customs on delivery.

05

Australia & other markets

Australian customers are protected by the Australian Consumer Law's statutory guarantees, which apply independently of our own refund process and cannot be excluded by any payment term on this page. Import GST on parcels sent to Australia is assessed under Australian customs rules and is separate from the checkout price. Customers in other countries retain whatever mandatory payment and consumer-protection rights their local law provides.
